Ms. Rosa M. Bryant, Founder

RAGS Productions was birthed to Rosa M. Bryant, a native of Raleigh, NC.  Her parents moved to Baltimore, Md. when she was eleven years old. She graduated from Eastern High School.  As an adult, she moved back to Raleigh and later attended Shaw University (CAPE Program) graduating with an Associate’s degree in Business Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Rosa participated in drama teams and creative writing groups.  She performed with the Write On Time writers group CHAINS(Creating Hope And Inventing New Stories) drama team.  She performed at schools and churches, which was both challenging and rewarding for her.  She enjoys acting but her love is writing.  She has written several stage plays, skits and completed two screen plays.  The amazing thing about Rosa’s education, stage acting and writing talent is that she earned them while incarcerated.

From The Desk of The Founder

RAGS Productions will encourage and uplift youth, bringing messages from life experiences.  RAGS will educate our youth about deviant behavior and the dangers of the streets.  As a youth, I was not educated in those dangers; I had to learn from experience, which was not always the best teacher.  I hung out with the wrong crowd wanting to fit in, and not long after I was indulging in alcohol and drugs.  I lost focus on what was important in life (me, living, morals, values, etc…).  My unhealthy choices landed me in prison.  I made many wrong choices in my life and it was a high price to pay.  Many of the young people today are making many of the same wrong choices.  It’s a cycle, a cycle that is well overdue to be broken.  It is our responsibility to educate the youth and deter them from self-destruction.  It is time for us, as a people, to unite and save our children.  They are crying out for help and we need to listen and take action.  The youth are our future and our future is depending on us.  The youth can grow and learn about making right choices in life through programs and performing arts at RAGS Productions.
